3-year-old Emirati girl killed by TV fall

A three-year-old Emirati girl was killed when a massive TV set fall on her head while she was playing near the wall where it was fixed at their house in the eastern oasis town of Al Ain, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

Her brother said Fatima, the youngest in the family, was playing near the wall just under the TV set when it collapsed and hit her head.

“The TV was not properly fixed at the wall…it fell on Fatima while she was playing under the set,” he said, quoted by the Arabic language daily Alkhaleej.

“We rushed her to hospital and I could feel the pulse in her…at hospital doctors said she died because of internal hemorrhage.”
