45 UAE sons martyred in Yemen: Nation mourns

The UAE has offered 45 martyrs who fell in the line of duty during ‘Operation Restoring Hope,’ under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.

Mansour bin Zayed offers condolences to families of nation's martyrs

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, extended his deepest condolences on the martyrdom of scores of Emirati servicemen participating in the Arab Coalition's 'Operation Restoring Hope' in Yemen.

Sheikh Mansour expressed his sympathies with the families of the martyrs during separate visits to the mourning tents in Al Ain city of martyrs Saad Mohammed Al Ahbabi, Butti Ayel Al Ahbabi, Abdullah Khalifa Al Nuaimi and Omar Rashid Al Maqbali.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant their souls rest in Paradise and bestow patience and solace upon their families.

 
Saif bin Zayed offers condolences to families of the martyrs

Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, offered his sincerest condolences to the families of the brave members of the UAE Armed Forces who died as martyrs in the ‘Operation Restoring Hope’ in Yemen.

He expressed his sincerest condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs during his visits to the mourning tents in Ras Al Khaimah that had been organised by the families of each of the martyrs for those wishing to offer their condolences.

He visited the families of the following martyrs: Mohammad Saeed Balsadriyah Al Khateri, Rashid Mohammad Matar Al Mosafiri, Obeid Saeed Rashid Al Mazroui, Al Shatti Abdullah Al Sayad, and Yousuf Abdullah Al Ali. He prayed to Allah Almighty to have mercy of the martyr’s souls, to grant them eternal peace in heaven, and for the families to be comforted and to find strength.

Lt. Gen. Saif also offered his condolences to the families of the following martyrs - Lt. Abdullah Khalifa Matar Al Nuaimi in Al Ain; Warrant Officer Mohammad Khaled Mohammad at Al Nahda area in Abu Dhabi; Corporal Butti Aayel Misfer Al Ahbabi at Al Salamat area in Al Ain; Corporal Saad Mohammad Saleh Al Ahbabi Al Salamat area in Al Ain ; and Sergeant Omar Rashid Al Meqbali at Umm Ghafa area in Al Ain.
 
 
Ajman Crown Prince offers condolences to family of Saeed Obaid bin Fadil Al Ali
 
Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, extended his deepest condolences to the family of the nation's martyr, Saeed Obaid bin Fadil Al Ali, who died while participating in the Arab Coalition's 'Operation Restoring Hope' in Yemen.

Sheikh Ammar expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the martyr, praying to Almighty Allah to grant his soul rest in Paradise and bestow patience and solace upon his family.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department and a number of officials also offered condolences on the death of Saeed Obaid bin Fadil Al Ali.


Hamdan bin Zayed, Hazza bin Zayed offer condolences to families of Emirati martyrs

Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, offered their condolences on Sunday to the family of martyr Mohammed Khalid Ibrahim in Baniyas district in Abu Dhabi.

The martyr fell while on the national duty, taking part in the Arab Coalition's ‘Operation Restoring Hope’, led by Saudi Arabia to back the legitimate government of Yemen.

They visited the condolence gathering tent, where they offered their sincere condolences to father of the martyr and his family. Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Hazza prayed for the Almighty Allah to grant him rest in the Paradise along with the martyrs, and bestow patience and solace on his family and relatives.

Sheikh Hamdan also offered condolences to the family of martyr Mohammed Ali Hussein Al Hosani in Al Shahama district in Abu Dhabi. The martyr fell while on the national duty in Yemen.

He underscored that the nation's martyrs sacrificed their dear lives to safeguard the country's security and stability. "They were Emirati and Arab heroes as well," Sheikh Hamdan said, adding that "the martyrdom of our servicemen in Yemen is a symbol of sacrifice and reflects our high values that call for solidarity with Arab brothers."

A number of officials, citizens and residents also offered their condolences.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Executive Council Member has offered his deepest condolences to the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and to all the Rulers of the Emirates and families of martyrs.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa confirmed that martyrs of the nation drew the greatest meanings of courage and proved that the people of the UAE are ready to give their lives in defence of right, as he said, ''Today, the feelings of sadness and pride are living in every Emirati house, and we are confident that the armed forces in Yemen will achieve victory soon, God willing".

He added, ''This honourable stance by the citizens of the UAE highlights that they are citizens who don't fear death to achieve the principles instilled in them by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan".

Lubna Al Qasimi: Martyrdom paves way to uphold values of right and humanitarian work in Yemen

Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development, MICAD, and President of Zayed University, affirmed that the martyrdom of the brave soldiers paves the way to fulfill and uphold the values of the rights of the sisterly people of Yemen, and to continue humanitarian work in that country.

In a speech on the martyrdom of a number of UAE brave soldiers in Yemen, Sheika Lubna said that, "Today, across the UAE, we have prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the souls of the Emirati martyrs, who fell in the line of their national duty and while taking part in the Arab Coalition's ‘Operation Restoring Hope’, scarified their lives to uphold and restore the legitimacy in Yemen and defend the oppressed".

Fatima bint Mubarak offers condolences to leaders, families of martyrs

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, extended her deepest condolences to the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on the martyrdom of scores of UAE Armed Forces servicemen who died while participating in the Saudi-led Arab coalition, ‘Operation Restore Hope’, to defend the legitimate government in Yemen.

Sheikha Fatima also expressed her sympathy to the families of martyrs.

Sheikha Fatima reiterated the unequivocal stance of the government and people of the UAE towards sisterly and friendly countries that are facing terrorism, aggression and threats to their security and stability. She added that the assistance being extended by the UAE to needy and affected countries aims to restore hope. ''Known by its charitable works and humanitarian duty, the UAE offers a helping hand to everyone in need, regardless of religion, race or colour, because its criteria are purely humanitarian and its ultimate goal is doing good for all,'' she stressed.

Further, Sheikha Fatima has instructed the FDF to set up an official delegation to offer condolences to families of martyrs and assess the needs of the bereaved families for the services provided by the FDF. She also instructed that halls in FDF's centres in the emirate of Abu Dhabi be named after the nation's martyrs, in tribute to their sacrifices.

Egyptian Armed Forces mourn Emirati, Saudi, Bahraini martyrs

The Egyptian Armed Forces have mourned the Emirati, Saudi and Bahraini martyrs who died in the line of duty on Friday, while participating in 'Operation Restoring Hope', led by Saudi Arabia to back the legitimate government of Yemen.

The Egyptian Armed Forces, in a statement, said the martyrs set a role model in defence of the Arab nation whose security and stability is being threatened.

''While mourning those heroes, we affirm that their honourable history will always remain live in the Arab conscience,'' the statement added, praying to the Almighty Allah to grant their souls rest in paradise and bestow patience and solace upon their families.
 
Al Owais hails UAE martyrs

Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Health, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) and Chairman of NOC Executive Office, said the lives of the UAE martyrs sacrificed in 'Operation Restoring Hope', led by Saudi Arabia in Yemen, are source of pride and feather in the cap of each Emirati in the defence of territory and homeland.
 
He added that their martyrdom will even boost the determination of the heroes of the armed forces to defend the rights of the oppressed.
 
Al Owais said, "While showing allegiance to our wise leadership, which stems from patriotism, it is imperative for all of us to stand together and face the challenges experienced by the whole world during this critical period. This has been proven beyond doubt by the martyrs when they sacrificed their lives to protect the homeland."
 
He prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant them rest in Paradise along with the righteous, and bestow patience and solace on their families and relatives.
 
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber’s statement on martyrdom of UAE servicemen

“Yesterday, 45 brave members of the UAE Armed Forces gave their lives in the service of their homeland.
 
“I offer my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of each of these honourable and courageous martyrs.
 
“Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
 
“These servicemen, alongside their brothers from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen, were defending the right of the Yemeni people to live with hope and in freedom and dignity. 
 
“Their courage and sacrifice will only strengthen the resolve of the UAE Armed Forces and the rest of the Arab coalition, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to defend the legitimate government of Yemen.

"The names of the martyrs will remain in annals of history and will be remembered by next generations that Emirati blood has been spilt to preserve the Arab dignity," Sheikh Sultan said.

Sultan Al Jaber pays tribute to Emirati martyrs

Dr. Sultan Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, has paid a glowing tribute to Emirati martyrs, who fell in the line of duty.

Al Jaber extended his sincere condolences to the wise leadership, the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces, and the families and relatives of the martyrs.

"We are proud of Emirati sons who do not hesitate to sacrifice their lives in service of the homeland and the leadership.

“We pray to the Almighty Allah to grant their souls mercy and rest in Paradise, and bestow patience and solace upon their families," he added.

Al Jaber said, "Our martyrs alongside their brothers, the Saudi martyrs, have offered their pure blood to support the sisterly state of Yemen and restore the legitimacy so that the people of Yemen live in freedom and dignity in the light of national sovereignty and legitimacy," stressing that "this incident will strengthen our determination on the continuation of diligent efforts to achieve the goals of the Arab Coalition in Yemen, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

He underlined the cohesion of the people of the UAE with the leadership to extend a helping hand and provide the humanitarian aid to the people of Yemen, citing the coincidence of the martyrdom of Emirati servicemen with ‘Yemen: We Care’ campaign, which is receiving a huge response in a way that reflects the love for philanthropy and support of the Arab and Islamic causes in the UAE.

Al Jaber reiterated the allegiance and loyalty to the homeland and the leadership, stressing that "the confidence and pride in our brave soldiers and their ability to achieve victory and restore hope throughout Yemen.
 
With them, the UAE will register a glittering and landmark heroism and glory, which will be the finest example in redemption and maintaining the nation's flag hoisted and flying high."

Abdullah bin Zayed receives John Kerry's call
 
UAE Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Friday, received a telephone call from the United States (US) Secretary of State, John Kerry, who offered his condolences for the 23 Emirati personnel who died while performing their national duty as part of the Saudi-led Arab coalition in the "Operation: Restoring Hope" in Yemen.
 
Sheikh Abdullah thanked the US Secretary of State for calling to offer his sympathy.

FNC mourns UAE martyrs
 
The Federal National Council (FNC) has mourned the 23 martyrs who died in the line of duty during ‘Operation Restoring Hope,’ under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.

While offering sincere condolences to the families of martyrs and praying to the Almighty Allah to grant their souls rest in paradise and bestow patience and solace upon their families, the FNC said those great martyrs had been elevated to the highest ranks by offering precious sacrifice for the sake of the homeland and the Arab nation. By their heroism and bravery, they have engraved their names in the annals of great men and heroes of the UAE and Arab-Islamic Nation,'' the FNC added in a statement today.

''They will not only be remembered by the UAE but also by generations of Arabs for answering the call of duty in defence of Arab dignity,'' the FNC said.

It indicated that the UAE's participation in the Arab Alliance to support the legitimate government in Yemen came through a call by the Arab fraternity to help a fellow Arab nation which refused to accept and believe in an alien ideology, or accept domination by a clique which seized power in the country in breach of a GCC-UN sponsored and agreed political process.

''The UAE received the sad news of the martyrdom of its gallant heroes in the midst of the government and people-backed "Yemen: We Care" humanitarian campaign, which was launched under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan out of the UAE's established principles to be loyal to its nation and people and to spare no effort in providing all forms of assistance to Yemen so as to enable it to ride over this critical juncture and reach to safety and preserve its stability and territorial integrity,'' the FNC noted.

Grand Imam of Al Azhar mourns UAE martyrs
 
Dr. Ahmed El Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al Azhar in Egypt, has mourned the UAE martyrs who died in the line of duty during ‘Operation Restoring Hope,’ under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.

In a statement today, Egypt’s renowned Islamic institution offered sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the UAE and to the families of martyrs, praying to the Almighty Allah to grant their souls rest in paradise and bestow patience and solace upon their families.

The statement expressed appreciation to the UAE for its honourable stance and sacrifice towards its Arab-Islamic nation and for standing with its fellow member in the Saudi Arabia-led Arab Alliance.
 
GCC chief mourns martyrs of duty in Yemen
 
Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Secretary-General of Gulf Cooperation Council, mourned the Emirati soldiers who died in the line of duty during 'Operation Restore Hope', under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.

''Martyrdom of our gallant soldiers in Yemen will remain a symbol of sacrifice and dedication and theme for solidarity and cooperation with Arab people in Yemen,'' he said, emphasising the GCC's determination to continue supporting efforts being made by the Yemeni people to restore its state and defeat the coup plotters and rid the Yemeni people from their oppression and tyranny.

The GCC chief offered his heartfelt condolences to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain; Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia and President Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi of Yemen, and to their governments and families of martyrs.

Arab League condemns Houthis' attack on Arab Alliance's camp in Yemen

The Arab League has condemned the terrorist attack perpetrated by the rebellious Houthi militias in Yemen on the Arab Alliance's camp, which killed and wounded scores of soldiers.

Arab League's Secretary-General Dr. Nabil Al Araby, in a statement, offered sincere condolences to the families of victims and governments of the Arab Alliance and their peoples. He also wished speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.

Al Araby reiterated the pan-Arab organisation's support for the Saudi Arabia-led coalition and for the legitimate government in Yemen, led by President Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi, and for efforts being made by the Yemeni state institutions to restore their national role in bringing about security and stability to Yemen.

Jordan expresses solidarity with UAE following death of a number of soldiers in Yemen


Jordan today voiced its solidarity with the UAE following the fall of a number of Emirati soldiers in the line of duty during 'Operation Restore Hope', under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.

''Jordan stands with the UAE in this calamity following the martyrdom of a number of soldiers while performing their duty towards their fellow Yemenis,'' Jordan's government spokesperson Mohammad Momani said.

He offered, on behalf of the Jordanian government, sincere condolences and sympathy to the leadership, government and people of the UAE and to the families of martyrs and prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the martyrs' souls rest in Paradise and bestow patience and solace upon their families.

Speaker of Kuwait's National Assembly sends cable of condolences to Speaker of UAE's Federal National Council on UAE martyrs

Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq Al Ghanem has sent two cables of condolences to Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of UAE Federal National Council (FNC) and Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla on the death of a number of armed forces personnel in Yemen.

Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted Al Ghanem as saying, '' We extend our deep sympathies and condolences to the governments and peoples of UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain on the killing of 45 Emirati soldiers and five Bahraini soldiers during the Saudi-led ''Operation Restore Hope'' in Yemen.''

Yemen's delegate to Arab League mourns UAE martyrs
 
Mohammed Al Haisami, Permanent Representative of Yemen to the Arab League, has expressed his deep sympathy and condolences to the leadership, government and people of the UAE and the families of martyrs, on the martyrdom of 23 soldiers who died in the line of duty during ‘Operation Restore Hope,’ under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al Haisami said he was saddened when he heard the news of the death of the UAE soldiers while they were performing their duty along with their Yemeni counterparts.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow his mercy on the martyrs, grant them rest in eternal peace and to grant patience and fortitude to their families to bear their loss.

He hailed the UAE's unequivocal support for Yemen's constitutional legitimacy and valued the humanitarian assistance the country is extending to the Yemeni people at this delicate juncture.

''We feel pride and gratitude that the UAE has emerged the world's largest aid donor to Yemen,'' he added.

The Arab Republic of Egypt today offered deep condolences to the government and people of the UAE on the death of 23 soldiers who died in the line of duty during ''Operation Restore Hope'', under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, also extended heartfelt sympathy to the families of martyrs and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant patience and fortitude to their families to bear their loss.

Sudan's delegate to Arab League offers condolences to UAE on death of soldiers

Sudan's Permanent Representative to the Arab League and Sudan's Ambassador to Cairo, Ambassador, Abdul Mahmoud Abdul Halim, has offered his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the UAE on the martyrdom of its soldiers who died in the line of duty and in defence of legitimacy in Yemen.
