A Chinese thanks to Dubai Police

A Chinese woman whose financial problem was solved by Dubai Police in 24 hours returned to the emirate just to express her gratitude to the cops in Naif station.

The woman travelled from her home country to Dubai to report local dealers for delaying her shipment for months and had expected to plunge into a legal case that could extend to weeks or months.

The woman told police that she had paid nearly Dh260,000 to a local firm owned by Chinese businessmen but that they had not sent her the shipment.

A day after she filed a complaint, police summoned the businessmen and helped the woman recover all her money on the same day.

“She flew back to China but returned to Dubai again to thank Naif police…she presented them with a hand-made leather roll carrying words of thanks,” the Arabic language daily Al Bayan said.
