Air Wing rescues injured biker from Sharjah desert

The Police Air Wing has rescued an injured Emirati motorcyclist from sand dunes of Al Vaah area of Sharjah.

Colonel Abdullah Salem, head of the Air Wing in Sharjah, said immediately after the alert from the police operations room, an air ambulance flew to the sand dunes where the motorcyclist had met with an accident.

The injured motorcyclist, who was unable to move, was given first aid and transferred urgently to Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah.

Colonel Salim said the Air Wing’s pilots and flying paramedics work round the clock and are ready to help whenever they get a distress call.
