On the occasion of the 8th annual World Autism Awareness Day, Emaar Foundation joined thousands of landmarks, skyscrapers and residences across the world to mark the ‘Light It Up Blue’ campaign, with a magnificent blue illumination of the world’s largest LED-illuminated façade on Burj Khalifa.

Demonstrating a remarkable example of global unity, the dazzling blue lights on Burj Khalifa was in honour of individuals and families affected by autism.  People also wore blue in support of the cause.

Observed this year by the UAE Ministry of Community Development under the theme ‘Autism and the 2030 Agenda: Inclusion and Neurodiversity,’ World Autism Awareness Day aims to advocate and teach about the effects of autism as well as encourage individuals to show support in creating a positive environment that is accepting and understanding of the condition.

At 828 metres (2,716.5 ft), Burj Khalifa holds the Guinness World Records for the Tallest Building, the Tallest Man-made Structure on Land Ever, Highest Restaurant from Ground Level for At.mosphere and the World’s Highest Observation Deck for At the Top, Burj Khalifa SKY.  For more information, please visit: www.burjkhalifa.ae
