Crane's computer stolen with just a screwdriver

Two jobless Pakistanis allegedly stole the computer of a crane valued Dh50,000 by using a screw driver, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

FJD, 24 and AR, 27, are also accused of destroying other property as they destroyed the crane’s control device and accordingly put the vehicle out of work.

Sergeant Yousef Rashid, testified that after receiving a notification about the theft he went to the location, which was about 15m off Sheikh Zayed Road near an Emarat petrol Station.

The computer of the cranehad been stolen, he testified.

Police arrested FJD and ARM while they were selling the device to HM (fugitive) and both the accused confessed to stealing the device.

The accused accompanied Corporal Amin Mohammed to the location where they committed their theft.

The court adjourned the case for verdict until June 20.
