On almost every day during the last two weeks social media users could participate in the online competition of Al Ain Zoo.

Two last rounds will be held today and tomorrow.

Using social media platforms Twitter, Facebook, and Istagram, Al Ain Zoo posted one question per day, pertaining to knowledge about animals held in the zoo.

Every day one person would be picked the winner, rewarded with 5 annual passes to Al Ain Zoo, the Sounds of Nature book, and several Al Ain Zoo souvenirs.

The main competition taking place on Twitter will round up with a last question tonight. As per schedule, the question will be posted at 8.30 PM and answers will be accepted until 8.30 the next day.

Al Ain Zoo asked twitter users questions such as what part of the prey the python strikes first after suffocating and squeezing it (answer: the head), and at which speed a golden eagle could fly (answer: 130 km/h).

All the answers can be found on the Al Ain Zoo website, however, answering correctly did not seem an easy task for everybody, with difficult questions such as 'how much larvae does a flamingo eat' receiving twice as much incorrect answers as correct ones.

Whereas the Twitter query will see its last run tonight, one more chance to win will be on Facebook, where the question is posed every Thursday. The Istagram platform saw its last round last weekend.
