The Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Education Zone, in cooperation with Princess Haya Initiative for the Development of Health, Physical Education & School Sports and Nestlé Middle East, concluded their second road show as part of the school health education programme.

The program known as ‘Ajyal Salima’ (which means healthy kids) will reach out to students and academicians in 29 government schools in Dubai- 13 boys’ and 16 girls’ schools.

As part of the two-year programme, the second road show took place on Monday at the Al Nokhbah Boy’s School where Grade 4 and 5 students were educated on healthy eating through a series of workshops.

The road show included edutainment activities for children so as to teach them about nutrition in an entertaining manner.

At the end of the workshop, students were given educational material including flyers and brochures on healthy eating.

In the next step, academicians will also receive training so that they can later roll out the educational programme in class rooms.
