Naturalisation and Residency Sector – Ministry of Interior

The MoI work timings during the Eid al-Adha holiday have been announced by the Ministry, as represented by the Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector. 

Working hours will be from 10am to 1pm Sunday to Thursday in order to complete all general transactions via the various departments and sections of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs that deal with the public. 

The working hours apply to all departments and sections affiliated with the Naturalisation Departments across the UAE.

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs, said that a number of employees at the departments and sections have been allocated to handle customers’ urgent cases. “This measure aims to deliver services to the public in a way that achieves customer satisfaction,” he said. 

 

He added that this procedure comes in implementation of the directives of the police leadership based on their keenness to upgrade the level of services provided to the public, to promote the principles of total quality and excellence in performance, to deliver distinguished services to community members, and to accommodate more customers.

GDRFA-Dubai timings during Eid Al Adha

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, GDRFA-Dubai, has announced that its customer service centre at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 Arrivals will be open to process all kinds of applications, including the renewal of UAE citizens' passports, throughout the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Marri, Director of GDRFA-Dubai, said that the service is in implementation of the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the follow-up of Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, to provide better services to customers and facilitate transactions for all visitors and residents in the country.

RTA announces services timing during Eid Al Adha holiday

The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the timing of various services to be delivered during Eid Al-Adha holiday covering Customer Service Centers, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, marine transit modes, driving schools & institutes, and vehicles testing & registration centers.

Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, RTA Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, said: “All Customers Service Centers will be closed during the Eid holiday starting from Wednesday 23 September and resume duty on Sunday 27 September. All paid parking zones in Dubai Emirate will be free to use during Eid holiday except for the parking lot at the Fish Market and the multi-level parking terminal as of Wednesday 23 September and fees will be reactivated on Sunday 27 September.

Explaining the timing of the Dubai Metro stations during Eid Al Adha holiday, Al Marri said: “The Dubai Metro Stations on both the Red and Green Lines will operate on Wednesday and Thursday (23 and 24 September) from 5.50 am up to 2 am (on the following day). The Express Metro service will stop during the Eid holiday i.e. Wednesday and Thursday (23 and 24 September). On Friday, the metro service will start at 10.00 am and continue up to 2 am (on the following day).

The Dubai Tram will operate on Wednesday and Thursday from 6.30 am up to 1.30 am (on the following day), and on Friday it will operate from 9.00 am up to 1.30 am (on the following day).

Detailing the service timing of public buses during Eid Al-Adha holiday, Wednesday and Thursday (23 and 24 September), Al Marri said: “Public Bus stations including Main Stations such as the Gold Souk, and Al Ghubaiba, will start service at 05:00 am and continue up to 12:00 am (midnight). Subsidiary stations of Satwa, Al Qusais, and Al Quoz Industrial will operate from 5.00 am up to 11.00 pm. The service to Jebel Ali Station will start from 06.00 am until 10.00 pm, and for other stations it will be from 6.00 am until 10.10 pm, except for Route C01 from Satwa, which will be operational round-the-clock.

In the Metro Feeder Bus Stations, such as Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Abu Hail, Etisalat, Dubai Mall - Burj Khalifa Stations, the service timing will be from 05:15 am to 01:10 am (on the following day) noting that the services of all Metro Feeder Bus Stations will be synchronized with the timing of metro operational hours.

"The timing of inter-city bus service will be as follows: Main Stations (like Ghubaiba) will remain operational 24 hours a day, while subsidiary stations (such as Sabkha, Union Square) will be on duty from 05:30 am up to 12:00 (midnight). Deira City Center and Karama Stations will operate from 6.10 am up to 10.00 pm. External stations such as Sharjah (Jubail) will be on service round-the-clock, while Abu Dhabi station will be operational from 4.15 am to 12.30 am (past midnight). Fujairah station will be running from 5.50 am to 9.00 pm, and Ajman station will be on service from 5.25 am to 10.00 pm while Hatta station will start service from 05:30 am and continue up to 09:30 pm,” elaborated Al Marri.

As for the marine transit modes, working hours, the Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, said “The working hours of the Water Bus at the Marine Station during the week from 12.00 afternoon up to 12.00 midnight. The Water Taxi will operate from 10.00 am up to 6.00 pm at Al Ghubaiba, from 2.00 pm up to 10.00 pm at the Marina Station, and from 11.00 am up to 7.00 pm at the Palm Jumeirah. The service hours of the electric Abra at Burj Khalifa will be during the holiday from 6.00 pm to 11.30 pm, and at Al Mamzar from 5.00 pm up to 1.00 am (on the following day).

The Abra at Atlantis will operate from 1.00 pm up to 9.00 am, and the traditional Abra at Al Khor stations (Al Fahidi, Baniyas, Sabkha, Old Dubai Souk and Al Ghubaiba) will operate on Saturday to Thursday from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm, and on Friday and public holidays from 10.00 am up to 12.00 midnight.

As for the Dubai Ferry services, there will be three scheduled daily trips from Al Ghubaiba Station to the Marina at 11.00 am, 1.00 pm and 6.30 pm. There is a scheduled trip for one hour along the coastal area at 3.00 pm and up to Jumeirah Beach Park at 5.00 pm. Dubai Ferry will operate the Marina station to Al Ghubaiba station at 11.00 am, 1.00 pm, and 6.30 pm in addition to a scheduled trip for one hour nearby Burj Al Arab at 3.00 pm, and nearby Atlantis Hotel at 5.00 pm.

As for vehicles testing and registration centers, all centers of partners, service providers will remain closed during Eid Al Adha holiday starting from Wednesday up to Saturday 26 September, and will resume duty on Sunday 27 September 2015.

DHA sets hospital and clinic working hours during Eid

The Dubai Health Authority, DHA, announced today the working hours for all DHA hospitals, DHA administration, primary health centres and medical fitness centres during the Eid Al Adha holidays.

In a circular issued today, the authority urged hospital administrations, health centres and all concerned organisational units to put a shift schedule and on-call system to meet requirements to ensure the continuation of work around the clock.

Nad Al Hamar and Al Barsha Health Centres will function 24 hours-a-day on all days. Al Lusaily Health Centre will be open on the 3rd day of Eid al-Adha from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the emergency departments of Dubai Authority Hospitals of Rashid Hospital, Latifa Hospital and Hatta Hospital will be functional around the clock on all days.

Specialty centres will be closed over Eid, except for the Family Medicine Clinic in Hatta, which will open during the holiday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Dubai Diabetes, and all medical fitness centres except for Muhaisnah Centre, will remain closed during the Eid holidays.

Dubai Customs announces working hours

Dubai Customs has announced work timings at its centres for the Eid Al Adha holiday so that customers can conveniently avail all clearance and customs services.

The Jebel Ali Customs Centres Management will be open round the clock throughout the holiday, including Dubai Logistics City Inspection Centre, Coastal Berth Centre (Inspection and Customer Service). Duty shifts will be on round the clock at the inspection centres at Jebel Ali and TECOM Customs Center (Main Inspection Office - Gate 3, Containers Yard Inspection Office 2, Containers Inspection Office 3).

Customer service centres at Port Rashid, Dubai Logistics City and Jebel Ali will be open on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 from 08:00am to 01:00pm and will resume work on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 from 08:00am to 01:00pm.

Air customs centres in Cargo Village, Dubai Airport Free Zone Gate (5), Cargo Terminal at Al Maktoum Airport and Dubai Flower Centre will be open round the clock during Eid al-Adha holiday. DMCC will resume operations on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 from 09:00am to 02:00pm.

As for inland centres, Hatta Borders Customs Centre will be working round the clock during Eid, while DUCAMZ and Dry Port will re-commence operations from 09:00am to 01:00pm on Saturday, September 26th, 2015.

Coastal Customs Centres Management, Exit and Entry Port (Operations and Inspection), Deira Port (Inspection) Dubai Creek Customs Centre (Inspection) and Al Hamriya Port Centre (Inspection) will be operational round the clock.

Operations at Al Hamriya Customs Centre and Dubai Creek Customs Centre will be open on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 from 08:00am to 02:00pm. Creek marine operations as well as the Customs Declaration Management will be running round the clock.

Dubai Customs reaffirmed the continuity of all services related to consignment clearances during the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Eid Al Adha timings of Al Ain Palace Museum

In celebration of Eid Al-Adha, Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority will hold a series of cultural activities on 25th and 26th September at Al Ain Palace Museum from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Visitors to the museum will be able to experience renowned Emirati hospitality and enjoy coffee, dates and sweets, as well as witness traditional performances such as the "Aayalh". The event will also engage the children in educational hands-on workshops, such as joining in a competition to paint the best artwork that captures the joyous spirit of Eid Al-Adha, while enjoying special Eid Al-Adha treats.

The celebration is an opportunity to experience the rich culture of the UAE through the customs, traditions, and folk songs associated with the Islamic occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

Visitation schedules for inmates of ADP Punitive and Correctional Establishments

The Eid Al Adha visitation schedules for the inmates of the Al Ain and Al Wathba centers, the Al Razeen Section, and the Al Mafraq Juvenile Care Center have been announced by the Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.

Visitation hours will resume back to the regularly scheduled hours after the Eid holiday.

Colonel Mohammed Saif Matar Al Zaabi, Director of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments, noted that male visitors will be able to visit inmates on Thursday, the first day of Eid Al Adha, between 8 am and 1 pm (for all cases except drug-related cases) and from 3 pm to 5 pm (for drug-related cases).

He also noted that Friday, the second day of Eid Al Adha, is designated for foreign male visitors to visit inmates between 8 am and 1 pm (for all cases except drug-related cases) and between 3 pm and 5 pm (for drug-related cases).

Additionally, Al Zaabi pointed out that Arab male visitors will be able to visit inmates on Saturday, the third day of Eid Al Adha, between 8 am and 1 pm (for all cases except drug-related cases) and from 3 pm to 5 pm (for drug-related cases).

As for the visitation schedules for the inmates of the Al Razeen Section in the Punitive and Correctional Establishments, Al Zaabi indicated that visiting hours will begin from 8 am to 1 pm according to a specified schedule. He pointed out that visitation hours will resume back to the regularly scheduled hours after the Eid holiday, and all visitors are required to bring their IDs.

Moreover, Wednesday, the Day of Arafah, will be dedicated for individuals and lawyers visiting inmates of ward 3. Thursday, the first day of Eid, will be dedicated for inmates of wards 2 and 4; Friday, the second day of Eid, for inmates at wards 5 and 9; Saturday, the third day of Eid, for inmates at wards 8 and 10; Sunday, the fourth day of Eid, for inmates at ward 1; and Monday, the fifth day of Eid, will be dedicated for inmates at ward 7.

As for the visitation schedule for the Al Mafraq Juvenile Care Center, Al Zaabi explained that the Day of Arafah and all of the days during Eid Al Adha have been allocated for all visitors to visit male and female juveniles from 8 am to 6 pm.

Pakistan embassy, consulate Eid holidays announced

Embassy of Pakistan, Abu Dhabi and Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai will remain closed from Wednesday, September 23, till Saturday, September 26 in connection with Eid Al Adha celebrations.

Embassy and consulate will reopen on Sunday, September 27, 2015.
