Emirati killed in fall while hoisting UAE flag in Ras Al Khaimah

A 58-year-old Emirati man who headed the Red Crescent Society in Ras Al Khaimah died after falling off the roof of his house while hosting the UAE flag to mark the country’s 42nd National Day, a newspaper reported on Monday.

Mohammed Zeid Al Shehi had climbed to the roof of his two-storey villa in Al Heel neighbourhood to fix the flag on the roof when he lost his balance and fell down.

His son Ahmed said his father was rushed to hospital but died of brain hemorrhage just a day before the National Day.

Emarat Al Youm daily said Shehi is survived by four sons aged between 23 and 36 years of age and three daughters.
