Khadija, wife of UAE martyr Adel Saleh Al Shehi, said her husband sacrificed his life for the nation and she is sure that her husband will be in heaven, according to a report in the Arabic daily newspaper Al Ittihad.

She added that “my husband was talking to me every day via WhatsApp until the last minute.”

“My husband used to ask me every day to take care of our two-year-old daughter Fatima as well as his father and his brothers,” said Khadija.

She added before leaving to participate in Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen, “my husband had asked me to pay off all his financial debts in case he did not return home.”

Khadija added that her husband had participated in the peacekeeping forces in Kosovo and Afghanistan and Bahrain's recent participation in Yemen.

She said her husband had told her that he won’t return to the UAE without completing their task and achieving victory or would be a martyr.

Meanwhile, the father of martyr Adel Saleh said that his four sons are ready to sacrifice their lives for the homeland and the leadership of the UAE and added that “We are proud to provide our finest young people for our homeland.”

In the house of martyr Abdullah Omar Al Jabri, both pride and grief could be seen on the faces of his family after they received news of his death. He leaves behind four daughters and an unborn baby.

The martyr’s sister Rukia Omar Al Jabri said they had given to the nation's its finest young people including her 28-year-old brother.

She said that before going to Yemen, the martyr had called his mother and told her if he dies, she should not grieve and should be proud of him.
