More than 400 officials and businessmen will gather in Abu Dhabi next week for an annual forum that will focus on the outlook of emerging markets and the emirate’s 2030 economic vision.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and the Abu Dhabi-based Institutional Investor are organizing the May 3 conference at the sprawling seaside Emirates Palace Hotel.
“The Forum will discuss the outlook for emerging markets and debate how the UAE can capitalize on investor appetite for emerging market exposure,” the Department said in a statement on Saturday.
“Abu Dhabi’s business leaders and policy makers will also address the next steps that need to be taken in order for the emirate to meet the ambitious goals set out in the 2030 Economic Vision. Speakers will focus on the key challenges and opportunities facing international investors in Abu Dhabi. The strength of the UAE’s financial sector will also be discussed.”
The Department’s undersecretary Mohammed Omar Abdullah said the forum, the fourth to be held in the Capital, would bring together Abu Dhabi’s key decision makers with business leaders and financiers from around the world to discuss the outlook for the UAE and business opportunities in the non-oil related sectors.
“This Forum provides companies interested in doing business in Abu Dhabi with a unique opportunity to meet the key decision makers and learn more about investment prospects in the emirate,” he said.
