A four-car accident has brought traffic to a slow moving crawl on Sheikh Zayed Road, right before the Trade Centre underpass, heading towards Abu Dhabi.
A black Nissan Altima, along with a Volkswagan Passat, a white Infiniti FX and another white hatchback are involved in the accident, which has occurred in front of the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department.
Police authorities are already on the scene, with what appears that Passat is the first vehicle in the accident, followed by the Altima, which has its boot badly damaged.
An Emirates 24|7 reader on the scene said despite police already handling the situation, the tailbacks were quite extensive.
CF said: “It took us a good 25 minutes to cross the Sana junction to head towards the Jafiliya Metro Station. The cars were literally crawling, probably slowing down to gawk the accident.
“However, thankfully, all the cars involved have moved over to the bus lane, so the lanes into the underpass and the Trade Centre Roundabout are not blocked.”
Meanwhile, according to several Sharjah commuters, no traffic congestions have been reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road this morning during rush hour.
