Dubai Criminal Court on Monday heard a prison-assault case involving five women.

OSA, 42, AOS, 48, BBL, 46, all Nigerians, and AOA, 46, British of Nigerian origin, allegedly attacked TSQ, 25, Indian, causing her five per cent permanent disability.

TSQ was also accused of slapping OSA.

TSQ testified before the Prosecution that on September 18, 2009, at about 7pm while she was waiting her turn to use the telephone in Central Jail, the first acused, OSA, jumped the queue and stood before her.

Recalling the incidenet, TSQ said: "I told her you should wait for your turn. But she replied 'this is not your father's telephone' and caught my neck so in defence I slapped her. She then pulled my hair and threw me on the floor. And the other accused joined her in beating me up and I fractured my leg."

Meanwhile, other prisoners intervened and called a policewoman. TSQ was first taken to a clinic and later to Rashid Hospital.

Forensic report confirms TSQ had fractured her left leg with five per cent permanent disability.
