How to win 85-inch Samsung TV in Dubai and Sharjah this October

City Centre malls said in a media statement today that the mall operator is focusing the spotlight on their technology brands for the month of October, highlighting over 30 electronics retail outlets combined in Deira City Centre, Mirdif City Centre and Sharjah City Centre.

The focus on electronics comes on the back of a recent report from Business Monitor International citing a growth in the UAE retail sector based on a boost in development of the consumer electronics market. Flat screen televisions and smartphones are noted as the main growth drivers. Throughout the month, shoppers will have the chance to win daily tech prizes and enter the draw to win the grand prize latest 85-inch Samsung TV, it said.

“Electronics is one of the biggest retail categories across City Centre malls, and new, exciting technology is always being launched for shoppers and tech-lovers,” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Senior Director – Property Management for Majid Al Futtaim Properties.

“There are a number of technology events taking place in Dubai during the month of October, and as a member of the community, City Centre malls wanted to highlight the latest technology in the malls for shoppers as they get excited about the newest tech toys being unveiled in the market.”

Shoppers who spend Dh399 at any electronics shop inside Deira City Centre or Mirdif City Centre will have the chance to play a fun “Tech through the Ages” game at a designated stand at the mall. During the redemption game, shopper’s race against time to match a gadget to a year. Each day, the player with the highest score will win the daily prize, a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Visitors at Sharjah City Centre will have the chance to win one of the daily Samsung Galaxy Note 3 prize by shopping Dh200 inside any electronics store at the mall. A total of 62 prizes combined will be awarded from Deira City Centre, Mirdif City Centre, and Sharjah City Centre.

Shoppers can also enter to win the grand prize and get a chance to win the latest Samsung 85” TV by spending Dh399 at any store inside Deira City Centre or Mirdif City Centre or Dh200 at Sharjah City Centre. By shopping at electronics stores inside any of the three participating City Centre malls shoppers can also double their chances to win the amazing grand prize.

Throughout October, shoppers are encouraged to go ‘out with the old’ and ‘in with the new’ for the ‘Recycle Your Gadget’ project. In collaboration with Red Crescent, each mall with have a special bin for shoppers to recycle their old gadgets, phones, laptops and electronics devices.

Red Crescent will make sure the devices are recycled properly, helping create a greener community for everyone. Once their old devices are recycled, visitors can shop for the newest electronic items in stores.

Facebook fans will have the chance to participate in a fun “5 Reasons I Love My Gadget” competition. Fans are encouraged to share their most coveted gadget and five reasons why they love it. Entries will be submitted via Instagram and a mini-review will be shared on Facebook throughout the campaign to highlight the “Gadget of the Day.”
