Latest: Reports coming in that some roads in Al Quoz area of Dubai are closed to traffic today due to excessive waterlogging. A similar situation has been reporting for traffic coming out of Al Hamra, Ras Al Khaimah.

Several areas in Dubai are flooded this morning, with commuters moving to and from these areas struggling to cope with the effect of heavy rains and thunderstorms in the emirate.

Al Quoz and International City in particular were heavily water-logged with readers sending in these pictures, hoping that the rain would abate today, making travelling easier.
