Indian dies in crash on way back from Eid break with family

Holiday turned tragic for an Indian family following a fatal accident on Thursday evening.

An Indian national, K G Harilal, who works as a chief accountant with one of the electronics dealers in Dubai died after the four wheel vehicle he was driving overturned near Ajman.

He along with his wife Amitha and another Indian family were returning to their residence after spending the Eid holiday in Ras al Khaima on Thursday. Haridas and Lekha, family friends of Harilal and from the same village of Pandalam in Kerala were residents of Sharjah.

The accident occurred at around 6pm. Harilal and the other injured were rushed to Khalifa Hospital in Ajman.

Harilal is survived by his five year old daughter Arsha. According to the police the accident occurred when the driver lost balance of the vehicle.

Motorists have been warned to be careful while driving late nights and during early morning hours.
