Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, today inaugurated the 18th edition of the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai) at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

A number of regional and international officials, heads of delegation, representatives from 130 countries, and more than 1,400 companies are participating in the event.

Following the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, Sheikh Hamdan toured the exhibition area, and explored the latest medical devices, technologies and equipment displayed by specialised companies from around the world. He was delighted by hearing from the exhibitors about the latest technologies and accomplishments that the manufacturing companies had reached in the field of dentistry.

Dr. Tariq Al Khoury, Honorary Chairman of AEEDC Dubai, said, "Every year the team of AEEDC Dubai does its best to achieve scientific developments in the field of dentistry, and this had been made clear in this edition of the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition. This conference had always been a great platform for reputed speakers to share valuable and up to date knowledge and exchange information in dental specialty. The conference had proved to have a great potential in enhancing participants’ practical clinical experiences."

AEEDC Advanced Specialty Courses will be running parallel to the conference and will provide advanced and updated theoretical and methodological approaches.
