Lost Lego brick; ruined your set? Here's how to buy 1 brick in UAE

How often do you misplace an important Lego brick from within your set, rendering the whole set useless? What happens when you’d like to build something unique from your collection, but need a few extra but similar pieces?

While until yesterday you didn’t have much choice – you’d either have to buy one or a few new sets, or look for someone who was willing to trade the pieces you were looking for with the extras that you might have (good luck with that one, if you’ve ever tried doing that in Dubai).

Now, however, with yesterday’s opening of the Lego certified store in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall, you can buy just one brick through their ‘Pick a brick’ product offer.

Local entertainment major Majid Al Futtaim Leisure & Entertainment yesterday announced that they have opened the Middle East’s first Lego certified store in cooperation with the Lego Group at the Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi.

To commemorate the event, 300 children attended an opening ceremony´s workshop, helping create a giant Lego mosaic using 151,000 Lego bricks.

Besides offering the complete product range including standard product lines, the store offers exclusive product lines such as Lego Creator Expert, Lego Simpsons and other product offers as ‘Pick a brick’ and ‘Build a minifigure’.

Simon Stansfield Bast, Lego Director & Country Manager for Middle East and Africa, said that the company has a focus on encouraging free creative thinking across the globe. “Lego products and bricks are more than a toy – it is a fun, entertaining and engaging play experience for children and adults. We look forward to bringing this play experience to even more children in the region with our extensive range of LEGO products,” he said.
