Eid is here, greetings. Also, best wishes for a safe flight and great time to 13 per cent of the Emirates 24|7 Poll respondents who said they'll be off to 'foreign lands' to celebrate the holidays.

Not surprisingly, 38 per cent said they will spend quality time with their family and friends - a traditional way to enjoy the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, with exchange of visits and gifts.

Surprisingly though, for almost half of the respondents, this Eid would be a fairly standard affair with 29 per cent saying that as Eid falls on the weekend, it will be as a regular weekend.

Another 20 per cent said they did not know what to do for Eid. The poll was taken on Tuesday and closed early Wednesday morning for a worldwide audience.

Poll: How do you plan to spend your Eid?

Yippee, am off to foreign lands - 13%
Will spend quality time with family - 38%
It will be like a regular weekend - 29%
I don't know what to do - 20%
