Man killed trying to make wrong crossing

A 50-year-old Emirati man was killed when he was hit by a car driven by another Emirati while wrongly crossing the motorway between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, according to police The unnamed man was killed on the spot after he was knocked over by the vehicle traveling to the eastern oasis town of Al Ain from the capital.

“The victim was killed as he was trying to cross the road in a place not designated for pedestrians,” said Major Mohsen Al Mansoori, head of Al Ain Traffic police.
