Mock plane crash drill in Dubai's Al Aweer today

Dubai Police is scheduled to conduct a mock plane crash drill on Tuesday morning (November 1) near the Dubai Club at Al Aweer area to check disaster management in populated areas.

The Dubai Police General Headquarters has called on residents not to panic when they see ambulances, police cars and civil defence personnels in the area at around 9am Tuesday morning.

The drill is a preparation for the forthcoming Dubai Air Show 2011. It helps check preparedness of rescue teams, the headquarters added.
