Mum-daughter duo of thieves held in Sharjah

Sharjah Police has arrested an Arab woman (called ‘PAM’) from the women’s prayer room in one of the emirate’s shopping centres and charged her with stealing ladies’ hand bags.

Dozens of women’s hand bags and a variety of mobile phones were found in her house.

Police had received several complaints of theft from shopping malls and their prayer rooms

Police said the arrested woman used her young daughter as an accomplice in stealing belonging of visitors to malls in the emirate.

Police said both mother and daughter have admitted to the crime and the case has been transferred to the public prosecutor.
