Organisers have confirmed that Dubai Airshow exhibition facility, which was damaged in a fire over the weekend, will be replaced with an alternative structure in time for the event in November.
The Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) has also confirmed the airshow will be held from November 17-21, as scheduled, with no delays anticipated.
DAEP made the announcement post a blaze on May 24 that broke out on the roofing of one of the facilities under construction at the Dubai Airshow site at Dubai World Central.
The fire broke out around 1pm on Friday and was contained four hours later, confirmed a spokesperson from the Dubai Aviation City Corporation.
Members of the DAEP, Dubai Civil Defence and Dubai Airports Airside Operations Fire and Rescue team contained the fire, with no injuries reported.
However, the facility, which was one of several structures being constructed to house the event, was damaged.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
