RAK woman killed in gas cylinder blast

A 75-year-year old Emirati woman who was seriously injured in a gas cylinder blast at her home in Ras Al Khaimah two days ago died in hospital on Wednesday.

The woman had been rushed to Saqr Hospital with serious burns to various parts of her body after a gas leak caused the explosion while she was cooking in the kitchen at her house in Joulan neighborhood.

“She was seriously injured as nearly 95 per cent of her body suffered from burns…she died of blood circulation and kidney failure..other parts of her body stopped functioning,” Emirat Alyoum daily said, quoting hospital sources.
