Short circuit in Mall of Emirates parking lot

Dubai Civil Defence crew were called in to Mall of the Emirates late Monday evening following an electrical short circuit that occurred in‎ the mall's parking lot.

Mall of the Emirates management confirmed the incident, ‎stating it was a “minor short-circuit in the electrical panel”.

Social media reports claimed part of the lot was cordoned off while vehicles were routed out of the area.

Mall management stated: "‎There was a minor short circuit in an electrical panel of at the parking of the Mall of the Emirates.

"Mall management and Dubai Department of Civil Defence responded immediately.

"The issue has been resolved and the mall remains open for business. Safety is our top priority."

Mall of Emirates further stated no injuries were sustained following the incident.
