Soon, coolest way to travel in Sharjah: Bus

Sharjah Transport will build 220 bus stops and 30 per cent of them will be air-conditioned, said Abdullah Al Zari, Director-General of Sharjah Transport.

The Sharjah government transport body will start work on the project in the first quarter of 2014 and spend Dh20 million to develop the infrastructure.

He said the bus stops will have modern designs and comfortable seats for the waiting passengers including  disabled persons.

He said air conditioners will be installed on bus stops near  hospitals, government offices and other places where large crowds gather.

The project is part of the Mass Transport Master Plan developed to provide highest level of comfort to public transport users in the emirate of Sharjah and also to encourage people to use public transport.
