Summer fun: Modhesh World kicks off tomorrow in Dubai

Modhesh World kicks off tomorrow promising a summer of endless family fun.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the edition opens on Thursday with a wide array of programmes and events that are designed to give families and children their most memorable summer holidays in Dubai.

Modhesh World 2014 will run at the Dubai World Trade Centre until September 8.

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and organisers of Modhesh World, is partnering with top international character licensors — Rovio, Sanrio and Hasbro — to bring some of the world’s most popular family entertainment concepts to Modhesh World, including the World Premieres of interactive experiences featuring the global phenomenon Angry Birds Universe and the action heroes from the science fiction hit, Transformers.

Beginning June 19, Modhesh World will open up further to fun activities for all ages, such as the WWE non-contact wrestling experience, Hello Kitty and Friends around the World, the Lego/Duplo Zone, the Laser Quest laser- tag game, the ice-themed Winter Wonderland and Little Stars, a zone sponsored by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority to help children develop motor skills and learn a number of sports.

Later, during Eid festivities, Modhesh World will host the World Premieres of interactive experiences featuring the Angry Birds Universe and the Transformers.

The opening of Modhesh World will simultaneously launch DFRE’s annual summer calendar to further enhance Dubai’s position as a year-round family tourism destination.
