Summer Relief: Rain, hail hit different parts of UAE [video]

It’s raining in the UAE.

According to the residents and the UAE Met office, it’s raining on Dubai-Al Ain Road and Maleeha Road in Sharjah.

The UAE’s Met office has just tweeted a video of rain, thunderstorm and hailstorm on Sharjah’s Maleeha Road. However, the residents of Maleeha Road in Sharjah reported medium to heavy rains in the area yesterday also.

Motorists driving on Dubai-Al Ain Road reported heavy rains today afternoon, helping bring down temperature in the area. Motorists driving on the road said temperature dropped substantially in the area after the rain.

Rain accompanied by thunder, wind and hail on Maleeha Road.

The UAE Met office earlier forecast rainy towering clouds, associated with fresh winds at a time, causing blowing dust/sand which is reducing the horizontal visibility at times to less than 1,500 metres, especially over the highways.

It also warned against fresh Northeasterly wind and rough sea over offshore areas in the Arabia Gulf.
