Taxi Dubai opens two service offices for drivers

Taxi Dubai Corporation (TDC) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) opened two operations and collection offices at the bus depot in Jebel Ali in an effort to provide daily requirements for more than 8,000 drivers and increase their level of satisfaction to 80 per cent by the end of 2013.

DTC Acting CEO  Ahmad Mohammad Al Hammadi said the corporation launched its services through a substation within the Jebel Ali  station in terms of office keys, switching shifts, drivers’ services,  collection, vehicles wash on a daily basis, and securing supplies in addition to other daily requests for vehicles and drivers to provide a work environment within the best conditions, to operate  the station up to 800 taxis, and secure quick access of vehicles to places of demand and reduce waiting time for customers, in addition to reducing the proportion of wasted kilometres due to checking to the main station more than once per day.

Al Hammadi said: some of the measures carried out by the corporation in order to raise the satisfaction of drivers are changing the housing from the Sinabur area to Jebel Ali, which has all the necessary services and facilities and daily needs of drivers including; banks and grocery stores, laundries, supermarkets, restaurants, etc., and more services are being added in the housing, as well as the internal housing complex at Muhaisnah in terms of providing cooling water tanks to meet the requirements and needs of drivers and follow-up office to resolve their complaints and to respond to their inquiries, as well as providing a number of services and entertainment and sports activities, in addition to the 24-hour a day, seven days a week restaurant, and a barber shop and a supermarket and laundry.
