Teenager steals monkey and parrot from zoo

A teenager in Ras Al Khaimah has been accused of stealing a monkey and a parrot from a private zoo.

The teenager has been referred to a court in the emirate on theft charges, a court official said.

Gulf News said that the suspect was arrested after the owner of the zoo informed police about the theft. The teenager was armed at the time of incident, it said.

The court is expected to hear the case next week.
