TV technician fondles housewife after job

A Bangladeshi technician allegedly molested a Filipina housewife while he was fixing her new TV in her flat at Al Ghusais areas,the  Dubai Criminal Court heard.

MOF, 30, is accused of touching the body of SSS, and forcibly hugging her and touching her breasts.

The 29-year-old housewife testified that on August 16, at around 5pm she asked her husband ND to bring a technician to fix the new TV.

“My husband asked the building watchman to arrange a technician. At around 6pm a technician came and started working… my husband left the house. When he returned after a couple of hours, my husband complained that the TV was a bit high… I called the technician as his number was on the bill and asked him to come the following day. On August 18, he came at around 5pm and I directed him where he should fix the TV.

"As he used the drill, he asked me to close the door not to annoy the neighbours with its sound. As he finished fixing the TV, he asked me to try it… While I was looking for the remote control, he hugged me from the back and touched my breast with his hands. I resisted him and pushed him back…towards the door.. screaming and shouting… he got scared and left the house and asked me to forgive him for what he has done. I pushed him out and locked the door.

"He knocked several times but I did not open the door…I completely collapsed. After sometime I went down and told the watchman about what happened, so he asked me to call the police. At around 10pm my husband came home and I told him… we went together to the Al Ghusais Police station and lodged a complaint,” she testified.

The accused confessed to the accusation and the court adjourned the case for verdict until October 30.
