The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a cable, has extended condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the victims of Flydubai plane crash, which took place early Saturday morning while it was attempting to land at Rostov-on-Don Airport in Russia.
In the cable, Sheikh Khalifa expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Russian President, the friendly people of Russia and the families of the tragic accident.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent two similar cables to President Putin.
Sheikh Mohammed offers condolences
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has tweeted condolences following the Flydubai incident on Saturday morning.
"We mourn those lost, may their souls rest in peace. Our thoughts are with their loved ones at this time of sorrow and grief," tweeted His Highness.
"I offer my condolences to the families of the passengers who lost their lives on board flight FZ981. This terrible tragedy grieves us all," he added.
