Umm Al Quwain police arrested eight Bangladeshis for planting cannabis in their back garden by concealing it among eggplant and tomato plants.
The eight were accused of brining cannabis seeds into the UAE and growing them at their house in the northern emirate.
“Samples collected from their garden showed it was cannabis…they tried to mislead police by hiding the drugs among vegetable plants,” said Khaled Hussein, Umm Al Quwain public prosecutor.
