Abu Dhabi immigration authorities are planning to open an office on the corniche seaside road to offer visa services to expatriates within a plan to upgrade performance and meet rising public demand.
The office will be located at the luxurious high rise tower, which houses the world’s sovereign wealth fund, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, newspapers reported on Sunday.
“The general department for residence and Foreigners’ Affairs is planning to open an office at ADIA and Khalifa City in the next few months,” the semi official daily Alittihad said, quoting Colonel Saeed Al Shamsi, the department’s director general.
The plan will further expand the department’s services network which already includes 11 offices covering most areas in the emirate.
