Zayed Giving Initiative launches pediatric mobile clinic

Zayed Giving Initiative, a unique model for humanitarian work at local and international levels, has launched a Paediatric Mobile Clinic, its first innovative initiative to mark the ‘Innovation Week 2015’ from November 22 to 28 and the Universal Children's Day, which falls on 20th November every year.

The community-oriented charitable medical mission is being launched as part of the early disease screening and prevention programme (Weqaya) under the supervision of the Emirates Foundation's social volunteering programme (Takatof) in partnership with a group of governmental and non-governmental organisations and managed by prominent entrepreneurs.

Dr. Adel Al Shameri, CEO of the Initiative, said the first stop of the mission will be in Abu Dhabi tomorrow where the Innovation Week will be launched and the primary focus of the clinic will be to serve those living in remote areas.

The Paediatric Mobile Clinic, he stated, will provide best in class diagnostic, preventive, therapeutic and educational services through an elite group of prominent local and international paediatricians.

''The Zayed Giving Initiative is engaging in the Innovation Week celebrations by adopting creative ideas and empowering youth involved in voluntary work to launch packages of innovative initiatives that will better serve the goals of the National Innovation Strategy and of the humanity, alike,'' he added.
