Funeral prayers for UAE martyr Al Ketbi

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, yesterday joined a crowd of worshippers in performing funeral prayers for martyr Sultan Mohammed Ali Al Ketbi, at Ammar ibn Yasser mosque in Dhaid city, Sharjah.  

Al Ketbi fell while taking part in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and a number of Sheikhs, senior officials and top Armed Forces' officers, also performed the prayer.
 

The Rulers of Sharjah and Ajman offered sincere condolences to the family of the martyr, praying to Allah Almighty to grant his soul rest in Paradise and grant patience and solace to his family. Along with the martyr's family, the rulers also accepted condolences from other mourners. 

Al Ketbi’s father says he’s proud of his son

The father of Sultan Al Ketbi expressed pride on the martyrdom of his son because he wanted to sacrifice his life for the liberation of Yemen.

“We have no choice but only victory or martyrdom; and he got the martyrdom and the victory also,” Al Ketbi’s father said while quoting him.

He was quoted by the UAE news site Barq in a video posted on the YouTube.

On the other hand, his brother said everyone serving in the UAE Armed Forces is looking for martyrdom as we all are proud of him.

Body of martyr Sultan Mohammed Ali Al Ketbi arrives at Bateen Airport

The body of martyr Sultan Mohammed Ali Al Ketbi, who fell while taking part in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen, arrived today on board a military plane of the air and defence force, accompanied by a number of officers and non-commissioned officers.

 

Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, led a group of senior armed forces' officers to accord a special military honour to the martyr at the airport.
 
Earlier, the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces announced the death of martyr Sultan Mohammed Ali Al Ketbi, while taking part in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.
