Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has congratulated General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and its Honorary Board, on the coronation of Al Ain Football Club as the 2014-15 Arabian Gulf League champions, for the twelfth time in the history of the club.
Sheikh Hamdan also congratulated Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Honorary President of the UAE Football Association and First Deputy Chairman of the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and its Honorary Board; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor and Second Deputy Chairman of the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and its Honorary Board; Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of Al Ain Football Company, and Al Ain club fans on the win which proves the club is powerful enough to bag titles.
"Achievements cannot be made without a wise leadership that believes in the role sports play in society, has a clear vision for the reality and the ability to plan for the future," Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said, stressing that the stewardship and vision of General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed enabled Al Ain club to achieve this stature that is notable not only in the UAE but also in the Asian Champions League in which it qualified for the quarter-finals along with Dubai's Al Ahli Football Club.
Al Ahli FC won the Asian Champions League in 2003, the first Asian achievement for the UAE football.
This, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said, is proof of the sound approach, high-quality planning and the efficiency of the work team led by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed and Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khalid.
