Mohammed attends UAE varsity graduation ceremony

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the United Arab Emirates University's (UAE University) graduation ceremony of the 30th and 31st batches of students today at the new university campus in Al Ain.

The ceremony was also attended by Ajman Crown Prince Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Fujairah Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Umm Al Quwain Crown Prince Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ras Al Khaimah Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, UAE University Chancellor and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.

Also attending the graduation ceremony of about 830 students were Undersecretary of the Court of Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region Sheikh Hazza bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of Dubai Ruler's Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, sheikhs, ministers and senior state civil and military officials in addition to parents of the graduating students.

 

Mohammed meets Kuwaiti media students

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with a group of students of mass communication from the University of Kuwait.
 
The students, who are members of the Kuwait University's Media Club, were on a visit to the Media Office of the Dubai Government and were received by its Director Ahmed Abdullah Al Shaikh.
 
During the audience, Sheikh Mohammed emphasised the importance of continued communication among the media persons in the Arab world so that they can develop a common vision and perceptions for the advancement of the Arab media across the world.
 
Sheikh Mohammed explained to the Kuwaiti students, his initiative earlier in 1999 to set up the Dubai Press Club.

The visits by university students to Dubai from any Arab country will give them the opportunity to witness the Dubai's experience in the area of mass communications. The Dubai Media City has become a regional and international hub for media and media community; Sheikh Mohammed noted.
 
The Kuwait University students expressed happiness over their opportunity to meet with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, whom they described an exemplary model and man of penetrating vision.
