His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,has approved the appointment of the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of government hospitals as follows: Dr. Alya Saif Al Mazrouei, Chief Operating Officer (CEO) of Rashid Hospital, Dr Abdul Rahman Mohammed Saleh Al Jassmi, CEO of Dubai Hospital, Dr Muna Abdul Razzaq Tahlak, CEO of Latifa Hospital and Dr Moza Ajaif Al Zaabi, CEO of Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital.
Essa Al Maidoor, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) said that the directives of Sheikh Mohammed are in line with the vision of the future needs of Dubai and that the development of health services in the Emirate of Dubai is of vital importance, because healthcare is a fundamental service that touches the lives of everyone in Dubai.
He added, "The vision of Sheikh Mohammed and his directives are aimed to ensure provision of health services in accordance with international standards and in line with the achievement of Sheikh Mohammed's famous statement "Dubai impresses the world."
He said the appointment of the new leaders reinforces faith and confidence in Emiratis and national human resources to lead the future health.
Al Maidoor said the appointment of the new CEO's for government hospitals in Dubai is also in line with the vision of the DHA to further develop the health sector. He also said the Authority aims to ensure excellence in administration and provision of healthcare services that in par with international standards.
