Mohammed receives President of Chad

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received President Idriss Deby of Chad at Zabeel Palace on Sunday (Wam)

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received President Idriss Deby of Chad at Zabeel Palace on Sunday, along with his accompanying delegation.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed President Deby and stressed UAE's keenness to develop relations with all countries in all domains, especially in economic, cultural and tourism fields.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, was also present at the meeting.

Sheikh Mohammed and President Deby discussed ways to expand cooperation between the two countries to better serve the interest of the peoples of the two friendly countries.
President Deby said his country was interested in exploring avenues of cooperation among the public and private sectors in the two countries.

He emphasised the business sectors' role in establishing viable partnerships, adding that Chad possesses very large untapped natural resources, such as agriculture, minerals, water and livestock.

Others present at the meeting were Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Group; Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation; Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation; and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department.

Mohammed crown Al Jazira champion of President's Cup

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has crowned Al Jazira FC as champions of the President's Cup after defeating Al Ain FC on penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw after extra time in the Cup final, played this evening at the Zayed Sports City.

Present were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, sheikhs, ministers, senior officials and fans.
