Mohammed receives Ramadan well-wishers

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received at Zabeel Palace well-wishers who came to extend their greetings for Ramadan.

Sheikh Mohammed received greetings from the speaker and members of the Federal National Council (FNC), ministers, senior government officials and citizens.

In his remarks during the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed underscored the importance of meetings during Ramadan, showing compassion for the underprivileged and helping those in need, elderly people, the sick and orphans.

This, he noted, is part of the Islamic and Arab traditions cherished by the forefathers.

The visitors prayed to Allah Almighty to protect the UAE's security and national cohesion between the leadership and the people and to keep it as a role model of stability and peaceful coexistence.

They also hailed the UAE's initiative for orphans and minors launched last week by Sheikh Mohammed.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council; Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC); Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group; Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of Dubai Ruler's Court;  Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai; and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai's Protocol Department were also present.
