Sheikh Mohammed orders construction of 250 houses

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today made a field inspection tour to Hatta where he was briefed on the quality of services provided by various government departments and agencies for the citizens and residents of the area.

He began his tour with visiting the Hatta Hospital, where he was received by Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director- General of Dubai Health Authority and was briefed on the medical, treatment and health care services provided by the hospital to the citizens and residents of Hatta.

Sheikh Mohammed then visited Hatta Municipality where Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Muncipality explained the services provided by the municipality and the development and services projects implemented by the civic body to promote the standard of living of the population.

Thereafter, he went to the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners' Affairs in Hatta, upon arrival he and the entourage were received by Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Shafar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri Director General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai.

He also visited Hatta Border Port Crossing which links UAE and Oman, he was briefed on the new high-tech Border Port Crossing complex which will be ready to welcome travellers to and from the UAE later this year and will be completed with a total cost of about Dh35 million.

Sheikh Mohammed also visited Mushrif site in Hatta where he ordered the Director General of Dubai Municipality to build 250 houses for citizens in the first phase to secure adequate healthy housing for every citizen.

During his inspection tour, Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by a number of officials.
