UAE Rulers order release of prisoners

The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 879 prisoners across the country on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The President will also pay off the liabilities and debts of the prisoners.

The prisoners’ release comes as part of the President’s keenness to give pardoned inmates an opportunity to start a new life and bring about stability to their families.

Meanwhile, the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent cables of greetings to the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,  and General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent similar cables to the leaders.

Meawnhile, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received cables of greetings from Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Similar cables were also sent to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Their Highnesses the Supreme Council members and rulers of the Emirates, the Crown Princes and the Deputy Rulers have also sent cables of greetings to the leaders of the GCC, Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

They wished the leaders good health and further progress and prosperity to their peoples.

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received congratulatory cables on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan from His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, President of Senegal Macky Sall, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait and former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al Hariri.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received similar messages from Amir of Kuwait, King of Morocco, President of Senegal, President of Palestine, Iyad Amin Madani, Secretary-General of the Organisation Of Islamic Cooperation and the former Lebanese Prime Minister.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has exchanged the greetings over the phone with Their Majesties Kings and leaders of sisterly Arab countries, on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi expressed his heartfelt greetings and wishes while holding the phone calls with Their Majesties and Highnesses, the Kings and leaders of the Arab countries.

Sheikh Mohamed held the phone calls with The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State Qatar, His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco, His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi also exchanged the congratulations with His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mugrin bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard of Saudi Arabia.

Sheikh Mohamed wished the Arab and Islamic countries and peoples more prosperity and blessings.


Mohammed bin Rashid orders release of 734 prisoners

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has ordered the release of 734 prisoners serving terms at various reformative and punitive institutions in the emirate of Dubai. The benevolent gesture marks the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Dubai Attorney General Issam Al Humaidan said that the Public Prosecution has immediately started the legal procedures to implement Sheikh Mohammed’s order, in collaboration with Dubai Police.

Al Humaidan indicated that the kind gesture of Sheikh Mohammed aims to bring happiness to prisoners’ families, reunion the released prisoners with their families and give a new opportunity to join the community.

The Attorney General thanked Sheikh Mohammed for his noble initiative and urged the released prisoners to lead their lives adhering to religious and moral values.

 

RAK Ruler orders release of prisoners

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah , has ordered the release of 220 prisoners from the punitive and reformative institutions in the emirate on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

The move comes as part of Sheikh Saud's initiative to pay debts of prisoners and grant them a chance to lead a decent life and to reunite with their families.

UAQ Ruler order release of prisoners

Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, has ordered the release of a number of prisoners from the punitive and reformative institutions in the emirate on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
 
The inmates, who have been convicted and are facing deportation as per orders of the courts, will be sent back to their home countries.
 
The move comes in line with Umm Al Quwain Ruler’s keenness to give them a chance to begin a new life and ease the suffering of their families.

Ajman Ruler orders release of 119 prisoners

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 119 prisoners who had proven good conduct while serving their terms in the punitive and reformative institutions in the emirate.

The Ajman Ruler expressed hope that the inmates would be given the opportunity to join their families soon and live the rest of their lives as good individuals in society.

The Commander in-Chief of Ajman Police, Brigadier Ali Abdullah Alwan, thanked the Ruler for his noble gesture which reflects his keenness to give prisoners the opportunity to be reunited with their families.

He added that Sheikh Humaid's pardons also reflect his deep appreciation of the importance of human freedom as well as of leaving doors open for inmates to learn lessons from their experience.
