Maid throws baby to death from fourth floor

An Indonesian housemaid in Saudi Arabia threw her employer’s baby out of the window from the fourth floor, killing him instantly, before fleeing to another city. But she was caught on the same day.

The 25-year-old maid was looking after the baby at her employer’s apartment in the fourth level in the southern town of Abha when she dangled him out of the window and hurled him down, Okaz newspaper reported on Thursday.

She then fled to the western Red Sea port of Jeddah, where she went to the immigration police and asked them to deport her for expiry of her visa.

“Police suspected her behavior and interrogation showed that she was involved in the death of that baby,” the paper said.

“Police are still investigating her to know the motives for her action while the maid asked about the baby’s health as she was not aware that she had murdered him,” it added without specifying the baby’s age.
