Alwaleed's wife tweets: Saudi Prince escapes crash, recovering

Princess Ameera Al Taweel, wife of Saudi Arabia’s Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abedel Aziz, has confirmed her husband is ‘doing well’ post a horrific car crash over the weekend.

The princess confirmed the same on her official Twitter account in Arabic, posting that her husband is safe and praised God for preserving him from evil.

According to reports, Prince Al Waleed escaped certain death when his car, a black Range Rover, flipped over three times of the Jeddah-Makkah highway.

The Prince was accompanying the convoy of King Abdullah bin Abed Al Aziz as it made its way from Jeddah to Makkah, where the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques planned to spend the last 10 days of Ramadan.          

The car was completely destroyed by the accident.

However, the Prince walked away unharmed and is reportedly in very good health according to his wife.

Meanwhile, images of a crash vehicle claiming to be the car Prince Waleed was travelling in have also emerged on the micro-blogging site, which is placed on a tow truck.

Considered the richest man in the Middle East is the CEO of Kingdom Holding Company, as of Q1 2012, his personal wealth is estimated to be $18 billion.
