Camel saved from drowning in sewage pit

Civil defence man used massive cranes to rescue a camel which plunged into an uncovered sewage pit in the Gulf Kingdom.

The animal was lifted out of the water-filled pit with an area of just two square metres after it stumbled and fell down near a farm in the capital Riyadh.

“The camel was saved unhurt in a well planned rescue operation and it was handed over to its owner,” Okaz daily said, quoting police.
