Imran Khan weds Reham Khan; sisters absent

Former Pakistan cricketer Imran Khan and Reham Khan were married at a wedding ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday.

Beautifully dressed in their wedding dresses, both groom and bride posed for photos in Imran’s palatial house in Islamabad. Only close family members are invited.

The wedding was not attended by Imran’s sisters as they were in Lahore, Dunya News TV reported.

This could fuel earlier speculation about disagreement between Imran and his sisters about the marriage.

There were reports in Pakistani media earlier about differences between the Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader and his siblings about tying the knot with Mrs Khan.

Congratularory messages started pouring in from people of all walks of life including politicians, cricketers and other  celebrities.

Celebrations began across the country as imran fans were seen dancing on the streets and distributing sweets to celebrate captain's wedding.

Former criketers Wasim Akram, Abdul Qadir, noble prize winner Malalah Yousufzai and piliticians congratulated the criketer turned politician on his marriage.

There will be no walima ans instead food will be distributed among the poor tomorrow.
