Man dies of thirst after running out of fuel in desert

A Saudi man died of thirst after his car ran out of fuel in the middle of the desert in the Gulf kingdom, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

Police searching for the man after a report from his family found the car stuck in the sand near the northeastern town of Hafr Al Batin.

“They found the man dead nearly 10 km away from his car…he had apparently tried to walk back home but could not make it,” Kabar daily said.
