Saudi Arabia's feared religious police arrested a local man who tried to harass a girl at a shopping centre after finding a piece of paper which incriminated him.
Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice were on a routine patrol at the centre in the Northeastern town of Hafr Al Batin when they saw the man coming close to the girl who was with her mother.
When they tried to arrest the man, in his 30s, on charges of harassing women in public place, he denied doing so but a piece of paper found in his pocket proved he was lying.
"Our men found with him a piece of paper he had already prepared for molestation and harassment of women...he was arrested as it proved he was guilty," Sabq newspaper said, quoting Commission spokesman Dabeekhi bin Salman.
